Hope you all had a nice spring break. I wanted to remind everyone that April 22 is our Group Concert at 5 pm in Kilworth. Unlike other concerts, there will not be a reception afterwards, although the building is not used by another group until 7 pm so you can stick around and talk if you'd like.

Also, the parent meeting on April 16 will be at my house. Summer sign up sheets will be available at this parent meeting, in addition to initial requests for fall lesson times. The topic of the meeting will be practicing - I intend mostly to answer questions and deal with individual circumstances rather than give a presentation.

Many of you will be putting together a month's worth of practice records for me during spring term. To make this easier, Ann Vanderpool-Kimura created parent/student practice sheets using Microsoft Excel, which I will post on the website for those of you who are interested.

Finally, following break the May solo concert sign-ups will be posted at your lesson. We have to plan this far ahead so I can let the pianists know what to prepare! Also, I will be collecting $5 from each student performing again this year to cover the cost of the accompanists. Please check your calendars and decide whether you prefer the May 20th, 7 pm concert or the May 31st, 3 pm concert.
