Teacher Kendall's Music Studio

Hi Everyone,

Dale pointed out to me that I had a different schedule on the studio calendar than the one I mentioned last night. I recently found out that we do have a space for our 4:30 Theory class on May 6 - room 106 in the Music Building, so that class WILL be taking place (and has been added to the calendar). So, to clarify: April 29th is a Play-in in Kilworth with no 4:30 class and May 6 is a Play-in in Schneebeck with a 4:30 class in room 106. Thanks, Dale!

I'd also like to remind everyone to sign up for summer lesson times and fall lesson requests at your lesson. When requesting fall lesson times it is beneficial for you to suggest 3 different options for lesson days. Choosing only 1 day or time does not increase your likelihood of getting your first choice - it makes it more likely that I will have to find you an open place in the schedule rather than select a time that works best for you. Also, if there is anyone who can make it to a 3:15 lesson in the fall, please let me know.

Beginning next week, there will be an envelope available for everyone to pay the $5 fee for piano accompaniment. If you are performing a book 2 or higher piece in the May recitals, make sure you have noted the rehearsal dates (with the pianist) as well. Tuesday, May 13 at 7 pm in Schneebeck is the rehearsal for the Tuesday, May 20 at 7 pm concert. Tuesday, May 20 at 5 pm in Kilworth Chapel is the rehearsal for the Saturday, May 31 at 3 pm concert.

At the parent meeting this month, a group of parents decided to plan 3 summer activities on June 21 at 12 noon, July 19 at 12 noon, and August 16 at 4 pm. More details on where to meet and what to bring will follow.

Lastly, remember that there is no Friday lesson this week or Monday lesson (or group) next week.
